Purpose: The hardener (curing catalyst) “Izur-021” is designed to reduce the temperature conditions of curing enamels ML-12 GOST 9754-76 and ML-12 “K” TU RB 00204547.89-2000.
Recommendations for use
Curing of the coating occurs as a result of chemical interaction of the reactive groups of the hardener with the active groups of the binder at almost any temperature with the formation of a polymeric spatially crosslinked structure.
The hardener is introduced in the amount of 10% by weight of undiluted enamel, mixed thoroughly, incubated for 20-30 minutes, then adjusted to working viscosity with thinner P-197, solvent or xylene and applied on the surface to be painted in the usual way.
Warning : The solvent used to dilute the enamels should not contain any appreciable amounts of water or alcohols, since These substances react with the hardener to form undesirable products, as a result of which the enamel may curl or thicken ahead of time. Dishes should be dry.
For this reason, solvents with an index of 600 used for nitro enamels cannot be used. They contain water and alcohols.
Vitality of ready-to-use enamel with hardener for at least 8 hours.
Drying time from dust (degree 1) at normal temperature for 2-3 hours.
Modes of complete drying (grade 3) of the coating are shown in Table 1.
