Benefits:

– the coating has good adhesion to metal;

– the primer forms a salt-resistant coating resistant to the action of mineral oil;

– primer coating is resistant to temperature changes from minus 45 ° С to plus 60 ° С.

Surface preparation: Before applying the primer, the metal surface must be thoroughly cleaned of rust, scale and other contaminants (it is necessary to remove notches, burrs, welding spatter, round sharp edges, corners, teeth and welding seams; there must be no lubricant, marking paint and other substances on the surface, for example mineral contaminants, water-soluble salts that affect the quality of surface preparation), have been cleaned with sanding cloth (sanding pads of 4 or 5 are allowed according to GOST 6456), degreased Ait spirit (GOST 3134) or nephras S2-80 / 120 (TU RB 100006485.148) and allowed to dry thoroughly. It is most thoroughly necessary to clean the surface in the weld zone up to 3 cm wide from residues of fluxes, alkaline slags and oxides formed during welding. To improve the protective properties of the surface, it is recommended to pre-clean sandblasted or shot blasting to the degree of cleaning of oxides 1 – 2. Painting should be done no later than 4 hours after surface preparation. To weld seams, butt edges and hard-to-reach spots, prior to painting, primers are applied with a brush in the form of a “strip layer”. The previously painted surfaces are cleaned of the fragile layers of the old coating, the peeled off old coating is removed, the entire surface is cleaned with sanding sandpaper (sanding sandpaper with a grain size of 4 or 5 according to GOST 6456 is allowed), dedusted, degreased and dried. It is recommended to carry out control staining of a small surface area.

Unpainted wooden surface should be cleaned of resinous substances, dried, cleaned to remove lint with sandpaper (sanding cloth of 4 or 5 grain size according to GOST 6456 is allowed) and dust free. Before applying the coating layer of enamel primed surface must be sanded. It is necessary to remove various contaminants from the previously painted surface, completely remove the peeled-off coating, sand and dust the surface.

Coating:  Before use, the primer must be thoroughly mixed, if necessary, diluted to working viscosity with solvent, xylene, or a mixture of one of the indicated solvents with white spirit in a 1: 1 ratio by weight, PC-2, 649, 650 solvents. in the electric field, the primer is diluted with RE-4B thinner. The primer is applied by methods of pneumatic and airless spraying, spraying in the electric field, spray drenching, dipping, brush. Drying time of single-layer coating up to 3 degrees at a temperature of (20 ± 2) ° С – no more than 24 hours. The thickness of the dried monolayer coating is 15–20 μm; after sandblasting or shot blasting, the coating thickness should be increased taking into account the degree of surface roughness Ra.

Primer consumption  on a single-layer coating 60 – 100 g / m² without taking into account the preparation of the painted surface, application method, personnel qualification and other factors.

Precautionary measures:  When carrying out painting works in the enclosed space, and also after their termination careful airing is necessary. Rubber gloves are used to protect the skin of the hands.

Storage: Store the  primer in a tightly closed container, protected from moisture and direct sunlight, away from heating devices, out of the reach of children. Keep away from fire.
