Enamel EP-140

Type:  Epoxy enamel is a two-component system consisting of an enamel semi-finished product and a hardener. Prefabricated enamel is a suspension of pigments and fillers in a solution of epoxy resin in a mixture of organic solvents with the addition of a hardener.

Scope:  Enamel is intended for coloring of previously grounded surfaces from steel, magnesium, aluminum and titanium alloys, and also copper and its alloys. Can be painted with enamel without priming.

Advantages:  Enamel forms of coatings and epoxy enamels. It is a combination of high-quality anti-corrosion, anti-corrosion, and a high-quality anti-corrosion and anti-corrosion / anti-corrosive coating.

The enamel coating is resistant to minus 60 ° C to plus 90 ° C.

EP-140 silver enamel is distinguished by high heat resistance (at least 3 hours at a temperature of 250 ° C). Category B2 indicates where the paint zones are allowed to operate in all climatic zones.

Surface preparation:

The enamel is carried out in accordance with GOST 9.402 or STB ISO 12944-4.

Oil, grease, paint, dirt and other substances, such as mineral contaminants, water-soluble salts, It is necessary to remove incisions, burrs, welding spatters, round sharp edges, teeth and welding seams. It should be thoroughly cleaned, dust-free, degreased and dried. It is the most up to 3 cm wide range of residues from fluxes, alkaline slags and oxides formed during welding.

It is recommended to improve the protective properties of the surface oxides 1 – 2 according to GOST 9.402.

It is recommended to improve the protective properties of the surface oxides 1 – 2 according to GOST 9.402.

Coating:  Enamel is applied by pneumatic and electrostatic spraying. Allowed by brush or roller.

If you’re trying to find out how to use it, then you’ll find out how to mix it up with a mixture of solvents – xylene: acetone: ethyl cellosolve in a ratio of 40: 30: 30 Contain for 30 min in a closed container put with a pneumatic dispersion, in bulk or a brush.

Enamel is applied at a temperature not lower than 15 ° С and relative air humidity not more than 65%. The drying time of a single-layer enamel coating with a thickness of 20 – 25 microns at a temperature of (90 ± 2) ° C is not more than 2 hours, at a temperature of (20 ± 2) ° C not more than 6 hours.

The consumption of  dried single-layer enamel coating with a thickness of 20–25

µm is 75–130 g / m², excluding preparation, surface complexity, color, and other factors.

Precautionary measures:  When carrying out painting works, and also after their termination it is necessary to air the room; use personal protective equipment (clothing, goggles, rubber gloves).

Storage:  Store prefabricated in direct sunlight. Keep away from fire! After the thorough mixing, the enamel meets the requirements of TNPA.
