Spray gun selection

Spray guns, or paint air guns, are designed for applying paint material on the surface of the product. Spray guns are used for applying primer and paintwork material, water-based paints, enamel paints, as well as for the final painting of cars.

The quality of paint application depends on the spray gun you choose. Therefore, in this ministerial we will try to acquaint you with several types of paint pneumatic pistols.

  1. High Pressure Spray Gun (LVHP)
  2. Low Pressure Spray Guns (HVLP)
  3. Universal spray guns (LVLP)

Low-pressure airbrushes HVLP (High Volume Low Pressure – Large Volume Low Pressure) consume significantly more air, which requires a powerful compressor. Such pneumo-spray guns operate on the principle of a sharp decrease in pressure in the air cap, and this is achieved by supplying excess air. Such a system reduces the formation of paint mist, and it is because of this mist and an excess of coloring material occurs. The distance to the painted part should be 15-25 cm. In these spray guns the hose should be with a large diameter, not less than the diameter of the hole in the sprayer handle. I would like to note that in low pressure sprayers (spray guns) the percentage of paint transfer is 20-40% higher than in high pressure spray guns, therefore saving paint on the face.

Universal spray guns contain both low air consumption and low pressure. ”
