Enamel HV-785

Type:  Enamels HV-785 of various colors are a suspension of pigments in a solution of chlorinated polyvinyl chloride and alkyd resins in a mixture of volatile organic solvents with the addition of a plasticizer.

XB-784 lacquer is a solution of chlorinated polyvinyl chloride resin in a mixture of volatile organic solvents with the addition of a plasticizer.

Scope : Enamels and varnishes are intended for protection in complex multi-layer coating of pre-primed surfaces of equipment, metal structures, as well as concrete and reinforced concrete building structures operated indoors, against the effects of aggressive gases (SO2, CO2, Cl2), acids (sulfuric, phosphoric , salt) and solutions of salts and alkalis at a temperature not higher than + 60 ° C. Enamels are black and red-brown are also intended to protect in a multilayer coating previously primed by erhnostey metal structures operating in atmospheric conditions from corrosive gases and other chemical industries at temperatures above + 60 ° C and the lacquer – a primer for concrete constructions.

The complex coating is chosen separately for each type of aggressive environment in accordance with the regulatory and technical documentation for painting certain types of equipment and structures.

Advantages:  Enamel is used to obtain a chemically resistant paint coating to protect the surface from the effects of aggressive media of alkaline and acidic nature. The coating has high decorative and protective properties .

Surface preparation:  Enamels are applied to the primed surface. Under the enamel XB-785, it is allowed to use primers according to GOST 9.401. Surface preparation before applying primers is carried out in accordance with the requirements of the TNP on the product, GOST 9.402 or STB ISO 12944-4. To avoid moisture condensation, the temperature of the surface to be painted must be at least 3 ° С higher than the dew point temperature.

Application:  Before applying, the enamel is mixed, diluted to a working viscosity of 16 – 22 s using an OT viscometer – 246 (or

OT – 4) solvent R-4 or R-4A (GOST 7827) and filtered. Enamels are applied to the surface by spraying.

The consumer independently selects the working viscosity depending on the working conditions (ambient temperature in the room, the diameter of the spray nozzle, the working pressure of compressed air, etc.).

In case of storage at low temperatures, the enamel is kept in a warm room before application (to avoid moisture condensation on the painted surface during painting).

Enamel cause at least two layers. Interlayer drying is not less than 1 hour at a temperature of (20 ± 2) ° C, the last layer – 24 hours at a temperature of (20 ± 2) ° C or 2 hours at a temperature of (60 – 65) ° C.

The thickness of the dried single-layer coating should be 18 – 23 microns.

The consumption of enamels  for a single-layer coating is 160 – 200 g / m², without taking into account the complexity of the surface to be painted, its preparation, application method, enamel color, coating thickness, personnel qualifications and other factors.

Storage:  Enamels should be stored in tightly closed containers, protected from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep away from fire.

Precautionary measures:  Persons associated with paint work must be provided with personal protective equipment (workwear, goggles, rubber gloves). When carrying out painting works and after they finish, ventilate the room.

The dried coating does not have a toxic effect on the environment and the human body.
