Composition
The basis of the enamel EP 140 is epoxy resin E-41. Available in various colors. This two-component enamel: semi-finished enamel and hardener №2. The components are mixed immediately prior to use, while for enamels of yellow, dark red, protective and black color is taken at 70 m.ph. semi-finished product 30 m. hardener number 2 by weight, for the rest of the flowers at 75 m.h. semi-finished product 25 m. hardener number 2 by weight.
The enamel EP 140 of silver color is supplied complete with hardener No. 4 and aluminum powder PAP-2 in the ratio of semi-finished enamel – 70 mph, hardener No. 4 – 30 mph, aluminum powder – 11 mph. Cooked enamel should be used within 6 hours. Warranty period of storage – 6 months from the date of manufacture.
Purpose (EP-140)
EP 140 is designed to paint pre-primed surfaces of steel, magnesium, aluminum and titanium alloys, as well as copper and its alloys. Can be painted with enamel without priming. Due to its protective properties, enamel forms a coating that is resistant to weathering in a cold, temperate and tropical climate. Protects the surface from water, industrial oils and gasoline. Enamel has a high temperature resistance and can withstand up to 250 ° C. It can also be used indoors.
Application
The surface to be treated must be dry, free from dirt, dust, corrosion and old paint residues. If there is a need, EP-140 can be diluted with a solvent R-5A. Before applying the enamel mix thoroughly throughout the volume of the container. Enamel is applied by spraying. Consumption per layer – from 75 to 130 g / m? depending on the color. Work in personal protective equipment (respirator, rubber gloves). It is necessary to ensure a constant flow of fresh air to the work site. It is forbidden to work near an open source of fire.
