Varnish КО-916К

Composition

Lacquer KO 916k is a solution of polymethylphenylsiloxane resin modified with polyester in xylene. Appearance – a homogeneous transparent solution without mechanical impurities. Opalescence is allowed. It has a good impregnating ability, which is due to the minimum viscosity, low surface tension. Forms a smooth, dense, glossy, solid, durable film. It has fast drying time, well fastens individual coils and layers of winding and insulation. It has a high degree of thermal conductivity, heat resistance and moisture resistance. Shelf life – 12 months from the date of manufacture. 

Purpose (KO-916K)
It has dielectric properties and is most often used for processing and impregnating the windings of electrical machines, structures and apparatus, operating for a long time at temperatures of about 180 ° C; it can be used for impregnation of windings of enhanced moisture resistant, tropical and chemically resistant performance.

Application

KO 916k lacquer should be mixed until uniform throughout the entire volume of the container and applied onto the surface previously cleaned of dirt and dust with a brush or a spray gun in 1-2 layers. Work in personal protective equipment (respirator, gloves), it is strictly forbidden to work near an open source of fire. Drying time 1 hour at a temperature of (150 ± 2) ° C.
