Benefits: Enamel provides a coating with a distinctive appearance, reminiscent of shagreen leather. Enamel coatings have high decorative properties when used in atmospheric conditions and indoors. The enamel coating is resistant to temperature changes ranging from minus 60 ° С to plus 60 ° С.
Recommendations for application: Before applying the enamel, the primed surface is sanded, dedusted, degreased and dried thoroughly if necessary. The previously painted surfaces are cleaned of the fragile layers of the old coating, the peeled off old coating is removed, the entire surface is mechanically cleaned, dedusted, degreased and dried. To avoid moisture condensation, the temperature of the surface to be painted should be above the dew point temperature by at least 3 ° C. Recommended primers: FL-03 K (for painting brass and steel) or primer GF-0119, GF-0119 “L”, or FL-03 F (for painting aluminum and its alloys). Previously painted surfaces must be cleaned from dust, grease, polish, degrease, dry and test paint. In the case of puffing or peeling, the old coating must be removed.
To avoid moisture condensation, the temperature of the surface to be painted should be above the dew point temperature by at least 3 ° C.
Before use, the enamel is thoroughly mixed, diluted with toluene in an amount of not more than 25% by weight of the undiluted enamel and then filtered through a mesh. Enamel is applied at a temperature not lower than 5 ° С and relative air humidity not more than 80%. Enamel is applied by pneumatic spraying. Recommended Coverage System:
– the first layer – applying a primer FL-03 K or GF-0119, GF-0119 “L”, or FL-03 J. Drying in accordance with the requirements of the technical regulations on this material.
– the second layer – application of ML-158 enamel under air pressure of
0.3 – 0.4 MPa and holding for at least 10 minutes at a temperature of (20 ± 2) ° C.
– the third layer – applying ML-158 enamel under an air pressure of
0.05 MPa and drying for 60 minutes at a temperature of (130 ± 2) ° C.
The thickness of the dried complex coating is 55 – 80 microns. After staining, strong mechanical effects should be avoided for 7 days.
The enamel consumption for a single-layer coating is 75–120 g / m² and depends on the complexity of the surface to be painted, the color of the enamel, the qualifications of the personnel and other factors.
Coating service life: A coating system consisting of two layers of enamel applied on a primed surface (primer FL-03 K according to GOST 9109 10–15 µm thick) retains protective and decorative properties in a moderately cold climate for at least 2 years and in a tropical climate for 1 year. The thickness of the dried complex coating is 55 – 80 microns.
