Waterborne varnish VD-AK-261

Type:  Varnish is an aqueous solution of acrylic dispersion with the introduction of various functional additives.

Scope: The  varnish is intended for industrial painting by roller method of wood-fiber boards (DVP). Varnish is used as a finishing coating in combination with water-dispersion paint VD-AK-298 produced by JSC “Lakokraska”.

Advantages: The  varnish forms a transparent, colorless protective and decorative coating, which has good resistance to water and detergents.

Surface preparation:  Before painting, the surface of the fiberboard should be prepared in accordance with the production engineering regulations.

Coating:  Before use, the varnish is thoroughly mixed and allowed to stand for at least 20 minutes to remove air, filtered if necessary.

Painting work is carried out at ambient air temperature, paintwork material and the painted product is not below plus 15 ºС.

The application and drying of a complex coating consisting of 2 to 4 layers of paint VD-AK-298 and 1 layer of lacquer is carried out on special technological lines equipped with infrared lamps for drying the coating. Paint materials are applied with the initial viscosity. Depending on the parameters of the process line, the paint may be diluted with water up to 10% by weight of the paint, and lacquer – up to 5% by weight of the varnish.

The consumer independently makes the selection of the working viscosity depending on the working conditions.

Varnish consumption  depends on the parameters of the process line and is 20 – 50 g / m² per single-layer coating. It is not allowed to mix varnish with other paints and varnishes and solvents of any type.

At the end of the painting work, clean the container and tool with soap and water until the paint dries. Hardened varnish residues and empty plastic containers should be disposed of as household waste.

Storage : The varnish is stored in a tightly closed plastic container and transported at a temperature from + 5 ° С to + 35 ° С. Exposure to high temperatures and direct sunlight is not allowed.

In winter, the varnish is transported in insulated transport.

Precautionary measures: The  varnish is fire and explosion-proof. Persons associated with painting work should be provided with personal protective equipment (workwear, goggles, rubber gloves). In case of accidental exposure of the varnish to the eyes, mucous membranes and skin, rinse with plenty of water.
